I couldn't resist sharing this after Jezebel's May 12 piece on Gmail ads served up after breakups. I often get really funny and off-base Gmail ads; here is the latest:
Sterilized Owl Pellets
Sure I love owls and sure my business is named Owliday Inn and sure I dissected owl pellets in elementary school, but does Google really think that I would be interested in purchasing owl pellets these days? Hey, at least I didn't receive a post-break up ad promising: "Get Your Man Back Now."

Anyone Seen These Hoops?
Does anyone know where I can find these solid brass hoops or similar hoops. I need a hoop that has a loop at the top as well as inside.

Twitter is Over Capacity
I just received this message as I tried to refresh my Twitter page: "Twitter is over capacity. Too many tweets!"
I completely agree with Gawker when it said that "the service makes intelligent people prone to blurting stupidity"; however, unlike Gawker, I don't agree that this is "wonderful." I'm convinced that people tweet even when they have nothing to say just to stay top-of-mind among their followers. At least half of it is total clutter, even among the most informative Twitter users. Pretty cynical, I know.
